Wilderness Dance

Come dance, your unique dance, in a beautiful nature space using silent disco headsets. No steps to learn, no judgements made and no expectations, just follow your curiosities, imaginings, and joy as you move to a carefully curated playlist.

Wilderness Dance presents an opportunity to dance in community with others in beautiful natural spaces.

With the permission of Forestry England we will gather under the majestic beach trees of Stoke Park Woods, Eastleigh Hampshire.

Beginning in circle, I will offer a short welcoming introduction to ground and open our hearts to being held in the beech glade. I will create an inspiring hour-long playlist to support your unfolding movement and enhance the nature/human connection.

The personal headsets allow you to adjust the volume to suit you and to move freely and quietly around the area.

Stoke Park Woods have been my playground for the last 16 years and I am delighted to be sharing a beautiful, sheltered spot just off the main path, a relaxing 5-10 minute walk the main carpark. To get to the dance location the wide gravel path has a gradual incline, before moving to a track and then a single file path. I will mark the route from the car park. Alternatively use the drop pin below.

My hope is that Wilderness Dance will unite free spirits, the brave and the curious to explore creative nature connection, to tune into a world of sound and music that enhances our nature experience and builds our community connection.

  • “Incredible ‘wilderness dance’ in the woods last weekend with Louisa White Somatics. The sun streaked through the autumn branches as a shower of golden leaves floated down – total magic and heart medicine.”

  • "Yesterday I spent Winter Solstice watching the sun go down in the forest with Louisa White Somatics . She regularly does Wilderness Dances in the woods and I couldn't recommend it more. Such a perfect way to spend the Winter Solstice. She gave us an eclectic and thoughtful soundscape through 'silent disco' headsets while we danced in the trees and welcomed back the light. I left feeling joyful, connected and regulated. A bloody treat at this time of year! I even saw a Murmuration on the way home! Check out her future events. They are amazing."
